Israel does not determine for itself a specific time frame for the completion of the military operation against Iran, nor does it aim to replace the current political leadership of the country. This was stated on June 16 at a briefing by Israeli Ambassador to the Russian Federation Simona Halperin, answering a question from Izvestia.

"Israel does not set any time limits for itself, nor does it specify deadlines. We will work as long as we need to," the diplomat said.

Speaking about what role Russia could play in resolving the conflict, the ambassador added that so far she does not see the possibility of resolving the situation with Iran by non-military means.

"The first priority at the moment is to destroy desire, opportunity, intentions. After we destroy them, we will look at how to proceed properly," Halperin said at a briefing.

According to the ambassador, it is "too early to think who, when and how" will participate in the conflict settlement.

On June 16, the Russian Embassy in Israel reported that on June 15, with the assistance of the Russian Embassy in Iran and the Russian Embassy in Azerbaijan, 225 Russians, including the families of diplomats, were evacuated from Iran. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that Russia remains ready to mediate in the conflict between Iran and Israel. He recalled that over the past few days, Russian Leader Vladimir Putin had held a number of telephone conversations, including with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Iranian President Masoud Peseshkian.

Israel struck Iran on June 13 and declared a state of emergency. In this regard, Netanyahu said that the purpose of the military operation is to strike at Iran's nuclear infrastructure.
