- A business dialogue "Agroindustrial complex and Logistics of Russia and Armenia" will be held as part of SPIEF 2025.

Within the framework of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum 2025, a business dialogue "Agriculture and logistics of Russia and Armenia: growth points, food security and investments" will be held. The discussion will focus on the expansion of agro-industrial and logistical cooperation between the two countries, as well as the development of new integration mechanisms aimed at sustainable development and food stability in the Eurasian region.
The agro–industrial complex (AIC) is one of the key areas of the economy where strategic partnership between countries directly affects the sustainability of food systems and the development of regions. In conditions of instability in global markets, food products are becoming not only an essential resource, but also a factor of geo-economic sustainability. Russia and Armenia are already implementing joint programs in the field of agricultural supplies, storage and processing, creating conditions for the localization of production and developing export channels.
"The development of agro-industrial cooperation between Russia and Armenia is an example of a pragmatic approach to the formation of an allied economy. From the expansion of logistics corridors to joint scientific research, all this creates a solid foundation for strengthening economic ties. The SPIEF gives partners a unique opportunity to discuss and specify the prospects for this cooperation," said Anton Kobyakov, Adviser to the President of the Russian Federation and Executive Secretary of the SPIEF Organizing Committee.
Among the topics announced for discussion: support for joint projects in processing, logistics and agricultural machinery, development of export-import potential, formation of seed stock, coordination of veterinary and sanitary procedures and the introduction of digital platforms for calculations. Armenia is considered as a promising logistics hub between Russia and the countries of the Middle East, as well as as a partner in scientific and technical agricultural integration.
"Agricultural cooperation between Russia and Armenia is no longer just an exchange of products, but the building of system solutions in the field of logistics, production and quality control. Our task is to identify growth points and launch support mechanisms, including from business and development institutions," commented Araik Tatoyan, moderator of the business daylog, Chairman of the Russian–Armenian Business Council.
The SPIEF annually hosts events with the participation of representatives of Russia and Armenia dedicated to deepening bilateral economic ties. In 2023, Armenia's investment opportunities for Russian companies, including in agriculture, processing and logistics, were discussed on the sidelines of the Forum. In 2024, the Armenian delegation participated in the thematic events of the business program dedicated to industrial cooperation and transport integration.
For the first time at the SPIEF, a new thematic platform will be presented, organized jointly with the Rosselkhoznadzor – the Agro Cluster, the first space in the history of the SPIEF fully dedicated to the development of the agro–industrial complex. The cluster will combine advanced solutions in the field of agricultural technologies, digitalization, logistics and financing. Presentations of international cases, including projects of the Russian-Armenian partnership, are also planned within its framework.
