Serial killer Alexander Pichushkin, known as the "Bitsevsky maniac," asked the Federal Penitentiary Service (FSIN) to pay him compensation in the amount of 100,000 rubles for refusing to transfer to another colony. This was reported on June 16 in the Zamoskvoretsky District Court of Moscow.

"The convict asked the court to oblige the FSIN to transfer him to a correctional colony closer to Moscow, as well as to collect 100,000 rubles from the FSIN," TASS said.

According to the convict, due to his state of health, it is difficult for him to stay in the Polar Owl IC, which is located in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District (Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District) and live in those climatic conditions.

On the same day, the Zamoskvoretsky District Court of Moscow refused to transfer Pichushkin to a colony located closer to the capital. The Department of the Federal Penitentiary Service (UFSIN) for the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District explained the refusal by saying that a life sentence does not fall under the rules allowing a change of place of serving a sentence on a personal statement.
