On June 16, a court in Latvia released Alexei Roslikov, a deputy of the Seimas who defended the Russian language, on his own recognizance.

Earlier that day, the head of the Stability! party in the Latvian parliament, Svetlana Chulkova, announced that Roslikov had been detained in the country.
