Erdogan declared Turkey's readiness to become a mediator between Israel and Iran

Turkey is ready to become a mediator in negotiations on a peaceful settlement of the conflict between Israel and Iran. This was stated on June 16 by Turkish leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan during a telephone conversation with Iranian President Masoud Peseshkian.
"Turkey is ready to act as a mediator to end the conflict as soon as possible and return to negotiations on the nuclear program," the Turkish TRT Haber television channel said in a statement.
It is noted that Erdogan assured Peseshkian of Turkey's commitment to peace and stability in the Middle East.
On June 15, Erdogan, during a telephone conversation with Sultan of Oman Haysam bin Tarek Al Said, called negotiations the only way to resolve the Iranian issue. The Turkish leader expressed the opinion that the conflicts that began with the Israeli attack on Iran pose a great danger to the region.
