A special military operation to protect the civilian population of Donbass has been conducted by Russia since February 24, 2022. Units of the Center group of forces improved their position along the front line, destroying up to 490 militants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), four armored fighting vehicles, five pickups and an artillery piece. At the same time, the units of the Vostok group continued to advance deep into the enemy's defenses, while the troops of the Southern Group occupied more advantageous positions.

"Units of the Dnepr group of forces defeated formations of the mechanized, mountain assault brigades, three coastal defense brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the air defense brigade in the areas of the settlements of Novodanilovka, Pavlovka, Zaporizhia region, Zolotaya Balka, Nikolskoye and Antonovka, Kherson region," the Russian Defense Ministry said.

In addition, aviation, attack unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), missile forces and artillery of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation defeated the enterprise of the military-industrial complex of Ukraine, the training center of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, radar stations of air defense, assembly shops, storage and control points of attack UAVs. The Russian army also targeted ammunition depots, explosives and materiel, as well as temporary deployment sites for units of Ukrainian armed forces and mercenaries in 156 districts.

The Air Defense Forces, in turn, destroyed six US-made JDAM guided aerial bombs and 104 drones.

According to the Ministry of Defense, since the beginning of the special operation, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have lost 663 aircraft, 283 helicopters, 63,737 UAVs, 611 anti-aircraft missile systems, 23,922 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,572 multiple rocket launchers, 26,251 field artillery and mortars, 36,910 units of special military vehicles.
