The Moscow Seasons in Beijing Festival was attended by 2.85 million people


The Moscow Seasons in Beijing Festival, which took place from June 12 to June 15 on the central Wangfujing walking street, has come to an end in the capital of the People's Republic of China. The event was held as part of the cross-Cultural Years of Russia and China, said Natalia Sergunina, Deputy Mayor of Moscow.
"The festival was attended by 2.85 million people. They listened to concerts of modern and classical music, participated in dance classes, tasted Russian cuisine, and learned how to make toys and souvenirs with a national flavor," said Sergunina.
The guests of the festival got acquainted with the traditions and history of Moscow, its gastronomy and sights. Also, the official Chinese-language page of the Russian capital Discover Moscow was opened especially for the start of the "Moscow Seasons in Beijing".
According to Sergunina, concerts, virtual tours and workshops were the most popular in Beijing. The visitors enjoyed the photo zones of the Moscow Tea Party and Moscow Estates projects, game spaces and the Digital Technologies section with interactive trips around Moscow.
On June 13, the conference "Cities of the Future. The synergy of strategic partnership between Moscow and Beijing" with the participation of entrepreneurs and experts in such sectors as trade, industry, culture, transport and many others. As a result of the event, seven international agreements were concluded.
The event is dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Russia and China. The capitals of the two countries have been twin cities for 30 years.
