- The head of the Pentagon, Hegseth, could not specify the location of the Suwalki corridor

U.S. Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth was unable to answer questions about the geography of strategically important facilities in Europe during congressional hearings. This is evidenced by a video posted on June 13 by Congressman Eugene Vindman on his YouTube channel.
During the discussion, Vindman asked Hegseth which corridor in eastern Poland is considered vulnerable and requires an increased American military presence. It was about the so-called Suwalki corridor between Belarus and the Kaliningrad region of Russia. The minister did not give a specific answer, asking for clarification, after which he called the question a "quiz."
Vindman also asked Hegseth to indicate the location of Kaliningrad on the map. The minister refused to answer and suggested moving on to other topics.
"I asked Minister Hegset a few questions about the military alphabet. He failed! America's military deserves better than this loser from a popular quiz show," the congressman said after the hearing.
On April 9, it was reported that US President Donald Trump mistakenly called former National Security aide Herbert McMaster, whom he had previously publicly called a loser. When the head of the White House began the conversation by addressing a certain Henry, McMaster immediately realized that a mistake had occurred. He politely introduced himself, but after Trump realized who he was talking to, the conversation was interrupted, and the American leader expressed his displeasure.
