Schoolchildren from Mariupol attended the races at the Igora Drive racetrack, where the stage of the Russian championship in the Formula 4 class was held. The children were helped to join the racing world by the Charitable Foundation for the Children of Donbass, created by the ROSSIYA Joint-Stock Bank.

"I really like it. I've been fascinated by racing since childhood," said schoolgirl Sofia Kurskaya.

The current Formula 4 championship has become the first in the country for a long time. These races are attended by young athletes, many of whom are under 18 years old.

The children were able to see the exciting race up close and get into the paddock, a place where cars are being prepared for the race, as well as the teams' work areas.

"About 180 horsepower, turbocharged engine. The car itself weighs about 520 kg, along with the pilot — 600 plus or minus. Due to this, it turns out to develop high speeds," said pilot Yaroslav Shevyrtalov.

Earlier, on June 7 and 8, the Moto Drive festival was held at the Igora Drive racetrack. It featured three disciplines of motorsport, in which more than 400 athletes competed. At the first stage of the MMT RGP Russian Motocross Championship, the audience was shown spectacular jumps and tough wrestling. At the same time, the weather conditions forced the pilots to show their skills, as well as constantly adapt to the changing track.
