The Russian Embassy in Israel recommends that Russians leave the country until the situation normalizes. This was announced on June 16 by Russian military commander Anatoly Viktorov.

On June 13, Israel launched a preemptive strike against Iran and declared a state of emergency. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stressed that the purpose of the military operation is to strike at Iran's nuclear infrastructure. In response, Iran launched several waves of missile attacks.
