- An elevator with a woman and a child broke down in an apartment building in St. Petersburg.

An elevator with a woman and a child broke down in one of the apartment buildings on Mentors Avenue in St. Petersburg. This was announced on June 16 by a source of Izvestia.
The incident occurred on the evening of June 15th. A passenger with her daughter rode in an elevator from the 21st floor, and a few seconds later the elevator began to fall.
As Irina Usacheva, the victim, told Izvestia, when she and the girl fell, they began to hit the walls of the elevator.
"We realized that we were falling down. I pressed the cancel button, and the elevator stopped on the 13th floor. We went out," she explained.
The passengers suffered bruises and went to the trauma center. The victim noted that the house was commissioned in 2006, but the elevator is "in terrible condition." According to her, residents of the building used to get stuck in elevators and wait for help.
"It drives badly, the doors often don't close well. We have five elevators, and each elevator behaves differently. Trucks can rattle against something while you're driving and make clicks," Usacheva clarified.
On April 13, a woman was injured in an elevator crash at a shopping mall on Kakhovka Street in southwest Moscow. It was clarified that the elevator fell from minus 1st to minus 2-1 floor.
