The G7 member states will not be able to speak out in support of Ukraine and increase pressure on Russia at the summit in Canada. This was reported by Politico on June 16.

According to European officials, there are a small number of supporters of Ukraine who hope for coordinated action against Moscow and increased support for Kiev at the G7 summit.

According to Politico, European leaders and a number of American lawmakers, led by Republican Senator Lindsey Graham (listed as a terrorist and extremist in Russia), support lowering the ceiling on Russian oil prices to $45 per barrel, but US President Donald Trump is not interested in this.

The G7 Summit (Great Britain, Germany, Italy, Canada, the USA, France and Japan) is taking place from June 15 to 17 in the Canadian resort area of Kananaskis (Alberta).

On June 15, The Telegraph newspaper reported that the US administration had cut military aid supplies to Ukraine. According to the newspaper, the country's Defense Minister Pete Hegseth also said that a peaceful settlement of the conflict meets the interests of Russia, Ukraine and the United States at the same time.
