A criminal case was opened into a bus accident in the Vladimir region. This was announced on Monday, June 16, by the regional prosecutor's office.

"A criminal case has been opened into the accident under Part 5 of Article 264 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Violation of traffic rules by the driver of a vehicle, resulting in the death of a person")," the department's Telegram channel clarified.

According to preliminary data, the culprit of the accident was a bus driver who collided with cars standing at a traffic light.

The collision of two passenger cars, a Renault minivan and a bus on the 290th km of the federal highway M-7 Volga in the Vladimir region became known earlier that day. The bus followed the route Moscow — Cheboksary. As a result of the accident, three people were killed and nine others were injured.
