Smoke was detected at Ust-Yayvinsky mine in Perm region

In the Perm Region, smoke was recorded at the Ust-Yayvinsky mine. This was announced on Monday, June 16, by a source of Izvestia.

"At 06:30 Moscow time, the powder fire extinguishing system was activated in the potash mine [PJSC Uralkali] for potash fertilizers at a depth of 204 m," the report says.

The source added that 105 miners have already been evacuated.

The cause of the incident is being determined.

The verdict of the owner of the mine, in which 51 people died, was milder than that of its immediate supervisors.

Earlier, on June 12, a source from Izvestia reported a gold mine fire in Khabarovsk. According to his information, the fire was recorded in the 11th tunnel of JSC Mnogovershinnoye.
