The Russian government has established new rules for calculating average earnings

On June 16, the Russian government established new rules for calculating average earnings in Russia. They will enter into force on September 1, 2025.

"The average monthly salary for calculating severance pay is determined by multiplying the average daily earnings by the average number of working days per month per year," according to a government document, the contents of which are cited by RIA Novosti.

It clarifies that the average earnings in cases where there is a cumulative accounting of working hours over a long period will be calculated by multiplying the average earnings per hour by the average number of working hours per month.

The established rules will be valid until September 1, 2031.
