More than 8.5 kg of heroin seized from organized crime groups in Primorye

Law enforcement officers seized more than 8.5 kg of heroin from an ethnic organized criminal group (OCG). This was announced on June 16 by the regional Directorate of the Federal Security Service (UFSB) of Russia in its Telegram channel.

"The investigative unit of the Federal Security Service of Russia for the Primorsky Territory has opened a criminal case under Part 3 of Article 30 ("Preparation for a crime") and Part 5 of Article 228.1 ("Illegal production, sale or transfer of narcotic drugs on an especially large scale") of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation," the report said.

According to the investigation, the suspects were taken into custody. It was also established that the supply of heroin was carried out from the Central part of Russia.

Earlier, on June 11, an employee of the Federal Penitentiary Service (UFSIN) was detained in the Smolensk region, who tried to sell drugs to convicts for a monetary reward. During a search of his car, a package containing a prohibited substance was found and seized.
