Musicians of the Tchaikovsky Grand Symphony Orchestra evacuated from Iran through Azerbaijan will perform a concert in Baku as a sign of gratitude. The Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation informed Izvestia about this on June 16.

"The musicians of the Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky Grand Symphony Orchestra have crossed the border of Azerbaijan. <...> As a sign of gratitude for their help in such a difficult situation, we decided to hold a concert in Baku," the ministry said.

It is specified that the performance will take place on June 16 at the Azerbaijan State Philharmonic.

On the evening of June 15, Izvestia reported on the evacuation of a group of Russian citizens in Iran across the border with Azerbaijan. Comfortable buses were provided for transportation, and the Russians took them to Baku.

On June 13, Israel launched a preemptive strike against Iran and declared a state of emergency. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stressed that the purpose of the military operation is to strike at Iran's nuclear infrastructure. In response, Iran launched several waves of missile attacks.
