Leonard Lauder, Honorary Chairman of the Board of Directors of Estee Lauder Cosmetics company, has died at the age of 92. This was announced on the brand's website on June 15.

"It is with deep sadness that the Estee Lauder Company announces that Chairman Emeritus Leonard Lauder passed away on June 14 at the age of 92, surrounded by his family," the statement said.

Leonard Lauder was the eldest son of Estee and Joseph Lauder, the founders of The Estee Lauder Companies. He was born in 1933 in New York City, and officially joined his parents' company in 1958.

His innovation and ideas helped to expand the scale of the family business and turn the company into a prestigious cosmetics brand.

"First of all, my father was a man who was kind to everyone he met. His influence was huge. He believed that the employees were the heart and soul of our company, and they adored him and the moments they spent with him. His warmth and care have left a mark on our company, the industry and, of course, in our family," said his son William Lauder.

It is noted that during his life, Leonard Lauder was awarded many awards, including state ones, such as the Lone Sailor Award, awarded by the US Navy Supply Corps Foundation, and the French Legion of Honor.
