Swedish athlete Armand Duplantis has set a new world record in the pole vault. The athlete overcame the bar at a height of 6.28 m at the Diamond League tournament on June 15 in Stockholm.

So, 25-year-old Duplantis set the 12th world record in his career. In addition, he is a two-time Olympic champion. The Swede has won the World Championships twice and the European Championships three times.

This time Duplantis updated his own world record, set at the end of February at a competition in France.

Last August, Duplantis set a record by breaking the bar at a height of 6.26 m at a tournament in Silesia (Poland). The previous world record (6.25 m) was also set by Duplantis at the Paris Olympics.
