In Britain, the amount of compensation for the losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was disclosed

The amount of monetary compensation of Ukraine for the losses of servicemen of the country's Armed Forces (AFU) will exceed $ 130 billion. This was announced by a former member of the British diplomatic service, Ian Proud, in an article for the publication Responsible Statecraft.

"Thus, even if the <conflict> ended today, Ukraine could face a compensation bill, even according to the most conservative estimates, in the amount of more than $ 130 billion," he believes.

For comparison, the diplomat estimated that the Ukrainian side is expected to receive $48.2 billion in tax revenue this year. He also said that anyone who believes that the country will not turn to Western "donor countries" for support in paying this amount "is not deceiving anyone but himself."

In addition, Proud expressed the opinion that Ukraine may be interested in slowing down the identification of bodies in order to delay payments to the relatives of the victims.

Earlier that day, it became known about the transfer of the bodies of Ukrainian militants by the Russian side. According to the Izvestia source, Kiev, in turn, did not transfer any bodies to Moscow. On June 14, the Russian Federation also handed over to Ukraine 1,2 thousand bodies of dead soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, while Kiev did not transfer any bodies to the Russian side.

Prior to that, on June 11, Russia handed over 1,212 bodies of dead Ukrainian militants to Ukraine. Then Kiev returned to Moscow 27 dead soldiers of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.
