Italian Defense Minister Guido Crosetto said that Italy will stop supporting the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) from a military point of view with the advent of the truce. This was reported on June 15 by the Pravda Italia portal with reference to the Corriere della Sera newspaper.

"When a real truce comes and a real negotiation process begins, we will stop our military support. But for now, we continue to help Ukraine within our capabilities," the portal quotes the minister.

Crosetto added that Ukraine's support does not imply the emptying of Italy's armories. He also stressed that Italy does not intend to send its armed forces to Ukraine, noting that this is "surreal, especially now."

On June 6, a military expert, retired Colonel Anatoly Matviychuk, said that the United States could stop or significantly reduce military assistance to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He noted that the American President Donald Trump protects the interests of his country and does nothing to its detriment.
