Iran should withdraw from the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT). This was announced on June 15 by the official representative of the National Security Commission of the Parliament, Ebrahim Rezai.

"Now is the time to withdraw from the NPT," he wrote on his page on the social network X (ex. Twitter).

According to Rezai, this treaty was supposed to ensure Iran's security, not be the reason for its absence.

The day before, Oman's Foreign Minister Badr al-Busaidi announced the cancellation of negotiations between the United States and Iran on the nuclear deal on June 15. He also noted that diplomacy and dialogue between Washington and Tehran remain the only way to a "lasting peace" between the countries.

Earlier, on June 13, Israel launched a preemptive strike against Iran and declared a state of emergency. In this regard, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that the purpose of the military operation is to strike at Iran's nuclear infrastructure.
