Sobyanin congratulated the capital's doctors on their professional holiday

Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin congratulated the medical workers of the capital on their professional holiday. In his Telegram channel, he, in particular, thanked them for their "talent, professionalism, sensitivity," as well as for their "contribution to the development of the capital's healthcare and preserving the health of Muscovites."
"Taking care of people's health, restoring fullness and joy of life to them is the noblest thing you have dedicated yourself to," the mayor wrote. "Along with deep knowledge, you have the gift to share the pain of others and inspire hope for the best even in the most difficult situations."
As Sobyanin noted, the Moscow authorities, together with a "cohesive team of medical workers," are creating the best healthcare in the world in the capital — affordable, high-quality, and effective. He expressed confidence that the set goals will be achieved.
In May, during a working meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Sobyanin said that 85% of Moscow's polyclinics had already been upgraded to the new standard. Patients there can receive high-quality and effective medical care in the most comfortable conditions, the mayor said.
According to the mayor, the government of the capital is implementing "a unique, the most ambitious program in the history of urban healthcare for the comprehensive reconstruction of primary care, which includes the modernization of about 340 polyclinic buildings." "The new clinics look no worse than private clinics, with an interior, appropriate branding, new, modern medical buildings, also at a global level," the mayor noted.
The implementation of the polyclinic modernization program according to the new standard began in 2020. The reconstruction of 290 polyclinics has already been completed, and 47 more buildings are in operation. The main activities of the program are planned to be completed by the end of 2025.
