- Errol Musk linked the bans of Russian media in the West with the fear of the European authorities

The ban on a number of Russian media outlets in Europe may be related to the fear of the European authorities. This was announced on June 15 by the father of American entrepreneur Elon Musk, businessman Errol Musk.
"When you forbid something, as a rule, you are afraid of something. If you're afraid, that's why you forbid it," he said in an interview with RIA Novosti.
He also expressed the opinion that there are alternative points of view in Europe. According to Errol Musk, this can be seen in elections in different countries: Romania, Poland, Hungary, Germany and other countries.
On May 20, the Permanent Mission of Russia to the United Nations sent a note to the head of the organization, Antonio Guterres, asking him to pay attention to the harassment of Russian journalists in the West. The ministry stressed that it is completely unacceptable to censor and repress alternative points of view.
Prior to that, on May 16, Russia's Permanent Representative to the UN Office in Geneva, Gennady Gatilov, handed over to the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) a new document with examples of the persecution of Russian journalists in Europe.
