The new South Korean authorities do not plan to provide new aid to Ukraine. This was reported by the Yonhap news agency on June 15.
"No new support is planned yet," Lee Jae—myung, a representative of the presidential administration of the Republic of Korea, was quoted as saying by the agency.
At the same time, the official clarified that Seoul will continue to provide the assistance that is currently being provided to Kiev. According to him, it is also possible for the South Korean leader to meet with Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky if he arrives at the G7 summit.
South Korean broadcaster KBS announced on June 7 that Lee Jae-myung will attend the G7 summit, which will be held in mid-June in Canada. It was specified that the summit would be the first international event for the South Korean president after his inauguration.
