A one-year-old child died after falling from a ninth-floor window in Nizhnevartovsk.

In Nizhnevartovsk, a one-year-old child died after falling out of a window on the ninth floor. An investigation is underway into the incident. This was announced on June 15 by the press service of the Prosecutor's office of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug - Yugra (Khanty—Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug).

"According to preliminary data, on June 14, 2025, a girl born in 2024, leaning over a mosquito net, fell out of the apartment window of a nine—story building on Dzerzhinsky Street, 17, in the city of Nizhnevartovsk," the agency's website says.

As a result of the incident, the child suffered injuries, from which he died in a medical facility. During the inspection, an assessment will be given on the fulfillment of the requirements of the legislation on minors, the actions of parents to raise a child, and the activities of the subjects of the prevention system. According to its results, if there are grounds, law enforcement agencies will take response measures.
