Florida beat Edmonton to advance to the Stanley Cup Finals.


The Florida Panthers hockey Club defeated the Edmonton Oilers 5-2 on the road in the fifth match of the Stanley Cup final playoff series. The score in the series became 3-2 in favor of the Panthers.
The winning goals were scored by strikers Brad Marchand, who scored a double, Sam Bennett, Sam Reinhart and Etoo Luostarinen. Forwards Connor McDavid and Corey Perry scored goals for Edmonton.
Russian goalkeeper of "Florida" Sergey Bobrovsky blocked 19 of 21 shots on his own goal.
The sixth match of the series will take place on the night of June 17-18 and will begin at 03:00 Moscow time.
Earlier, on June 13, Edmonton beat Florida in the fourth match of the Stanley Cup Playoff finals series. The Canadian club, losing the match with a score of 0:3, managed to even the score and win in overtime. Russian forward Vasily Podkolzin scored one of the goals for the Neftyanikov.
