The Weizmann Institute of Science in Israel was damaged by Iranian rocket fire. This was reported on June 15 by The New York Times (NYT).

"The Weizmann Institute of Science, a well—known Israeli research center, was damaged as a result of the latest rocket attack by Iran, at least in one building with laboratories," the report said.

Earlier in the day, rockets and shrapnel launched by Iran and Yemen at Israel damaged several houses in the Tel Aviv area and injured people.

On June 13, Israel launched a preemptive strike against Iran and declared a state of emergency. In this regard, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that the purpose of the military operation is to strike at Iran's nuclear infrastructure.
