The United States knew about the upcoming Israeli attack on Iran, so it deliberately supported negotiations on the Iranian nuclear program with the Iranian side, which became the main ploy on the part of America. This was reported on June 14 by the Financial Times (FT) newspaper, citing a former employee of the US State Department, Aaron Miller.

"It is now obvious that it was not the evacuation from the United States that was a ploy, but the idea that the Trump administration was preparing for new negotiations — this is a means to lure Tehran into a false sense of security, softening it up to attack Israel. The ploy seems to have worked," the article says.

According to the newspaper, while the nuclear negotiations continued, the United States excluded Israel from any attack and "lulled" Iran's vigilance.

Earlier in the day, Oman's Foreign Minister Badr al-Busaidi announced the cancellation of negotiations between the United States and Iran on June 15 on the nuclear deal. At the same time, he assured that Washington's diplomacy and dialogue with Tehran remain the only way to a "lasting peace" between the countries.

On June 13, Israel launched a preemptive strike against Iran and declared a state of emergency. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called the task of the military operation attacks on the Iranian nuclear infrastructure. Later, on June 14, the Fars news agency reported a possible Iranian strike on US military bases in the Middle East.
