- Oman's Foreign Ministry announced the cancellation of negotiations between the United States and Iran on June 15.

The talks between the US and Iranian delegations on the nuclear program scheduled for June 15 will not take place. Oman's Foreign Minister Badr al-Busaidi announced this on June 14.
"The talks between Iran and the United States scheduled for this Sunday in Muscat will not take place," he wrote on his page on the social network X (ex. Twitter).
At the same time, the head of the Omani Foreign Ministry clarified that Washington's diplomacy and dialogue with Tehran remain the only way to a "lasting peace" between the countries.
Earlier in the day, the official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic, Ismail Bagai, said that against the background of the Israeli attack, the negotiations between the United States and Iran had become meaningless. He stressed that this demonstrates the strong dependence of American politicians on the Israeli regime.
On June 13, Israel launched a preemptive strike against Iran and declared a state of emergency. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called the task of the military operation attacks on the Iranian nuclear infrastructure. Later, on June 14, the Fars news agency reported a possible Iranian strike on US military bases in the Middle East.
