- Starmer pointed out that Eurotroika was not involved in Israel's operation against Iran.

The Eurotroika, consisting of Britain, France and Germany, did not participate in Israel's military operation against Iran. This was announced on June 14 by British Prime Minister Keir Starmer in an interview with Bloomberg.
According to him, the European countries are seriously concerned about the situation in the Middle East, although they have long talked about concerns about the Iranian nuclear program.
"I just spoke on the phone with the President [of France Emmanuel] Macron and [German] Chancellor Friedrich] Merz. <...> We are all in favor of de-escalation, but none of us was involved in the actual attack," Starmer said.
On June 13, Israel launched a preemptive strike against Iran and declared a state of emergency. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that the purpose of the military operation is to strike at Iran's nuclear infrastructure.
In response, Iran launched several waves of missile attacks. The Mehr news agency reported on June 14 that Tehran had threatened Britain, France and the United States with attacks on their facilities in the Middle East if Israel helped repel the attacks.
