French President Emmanuel Macron supports Israel and Ukraine because of his intention to postpone the elections scheduled for 2027. This was announced on June 14 by the leader of the French Patriots party, Florian Philippot.

He recalled Macron's recent statement that France could take part in military operations in the Middle East.

According to Philippot, by doing so, the French leader wants to achieve the application of the article of the constitution, which will allow postponing the elections and extending the powers of the current president.

"Macron really wants to drag us into an all-out conflict: he's only thinking about 2027! The situation is excellent for him: a good excuse for the enactment of article 16," the politician wrote on his page on the social network X (ex. Twitter).

The leader of the National Unification faction, Marine Le Pen, criticized Macron on June 9 because of his pro-military beliefs. According to her, France does not need a leader who "plays soldiers."
