Dmitriev compared protests against Trump to "color revolutions"

The protests in the United States against American leader Donald Trump are based on the same ideology as the "color revolutions." This was announced on June 14 by Kirill Dmitriev, head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF), Special presidential representative for investment and economic cooperation with foreign countries.
"The scenario is the same, and the same people who make the color revolutions. It is sad that only a few people understand how deep the level of coordination and experience involved is," he wrote on his page on the social network X (ex. Twitter).
Dmitriev commented on the publication of former Trump national security adviser, retired Lieutenant General Michael Flynn, which claimed that the protests against Trump were not a spontaneous action, but a "psychological operation" and a strategy to undermine the authority of the American government.
Earlier in the day, about 60 people were arrested at a protest rally near the Capitol in Washington. It is noted that the demonstrators were part of a group of veterans protesting against fascism.
Mass protests began in California on June 8 after a police raid to identify illegal migrants, during which 45 people were detained. Shortly after, Trump ordered the National Guard to be sent to the state to stop the riots, which was condemned by the governors of 22 states, regarding it as an "abuse of power."
