The UK has no plans to send military contingents to Ukraine without the support of the United States. This was announced on June 14 by British Prime Minister Keir Starmer in an interview with Bloomberg.

Commenting on the deployment of troops of the "coalition of the willing" on Ukrainian territory, he stressed that "the protection of the United States is necessary."

"There is no reason to believe that the United States and Britain cannot act together, as they have historically done for many, many years," Starmer added.

In April, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that the deployment of Western military contingents in Ukraine was unacceptable to Russia. According to him, this initiative poses a critical threat to the security of the whole of Europe.
