Marko Nikolic, who left the CSKA Moscow football club, became the head coach of the Greek AEK team from Athens. This was announced on Saturday, June 14, according to an official press release on the website.

"Marko Nikolic, <...> we wish you all the best!" the press service greeted the mentor.

The Serbian specialist left CSKA on June 9. In the 2024/2025 season, leading the Moscow club, he won the bronze medals of the Russian Premier League (RPL), and also won the Russian Cup.

The 45-year-old coach in Russia also worked for Lokomotiv, with whom he won the national cup in the 2020/2021 season.

On June 12, the Pari Nizhny Novgorod football club terminated the contract with the head coach of the team, Viktor Gancharenko. Senior coaches Alexander Ermakovich and Ruslan Zubik left their posts.
