The NPP in Kazakhstan will be built on the basis of Russian technologies


Rosatom State Corporation plans to build a nuclear power plant (NPP) in Kazakhstan according to the most advanced and efficient project in the world, using Russian technologies. This was announced on June 14 by the head of the state corporation Alexey Likhachev.
"We welcome Kazakhstan's decision to launch a nuclear power plant construction project. The result will be the construction of a nuclear power plant based on the most advanced and efficient project in the world, based on Russian technologies," he is quoted as saying in the Telegram channel of the state corporation.
It is noted that Rosatom uses cooperation with foreign suppliers, which makes it possible to apply modern and adapted technological solutions for the customer.
Earlier that day, Rosatom State Corporation was chosen as the leader of the consortium for the construction of the first nuclear power plant in Kazakhstan. Currently, according to Rosatom's proposals, work has begun on the issue of attracting state export financing from the Russian Federation.
