A special military operation to protect the civilian population of Donbass has been conducted by Russia since February 24, 2022. It is noted that the Russian military liberated the village of Zelyony Kut in the DPR. In the area of responsibility of the units of the Center group of forces, the Armed Forces of Ukraine lost up to 520 servicemen and six armored combat vehicles.

In addition, the units of the Vostok group of forces continued to advance into the depth of the enemy's defenses.

"Air defense systems shot down two US—made JDAM guided aerial bombs, 110 aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicles, including 63 outside the area of a special military operation," the Defense Ministry said.

The Russian military also defeated workshops for the production of unmanned aerial vehicles and their storage sites, ammunition depots, as well as temporary deployment points for units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, armed formations of nationalists and foreign mercenaries in 148 districts.

Since the beginning of the special military operation, 663 aircraft, 283 helicopters, 63,505 unmanned aerial vehicles, 611 anti-aircraft missile systems, 23,896 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,572 multiple rocket launchers, 26,179 field artillery and mortars, 36,842 units of special military vehicles have been destroyed.
