In Arkhangelsk, a fire broke out in an apartment building as a result of a gas explosion, according to preliminary data, two people may be under the rubble. This was announced on June 14 by the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in the region.
"This morning, a fire broke out in an apartment building in Arkhangelsk at 100 Division Street, 4. According to preliminary information, the fire in the apartment on the second floor occurred as a result of a gas explosion," the agency said in a Telegram channel.
As indicated in the Ministry of Emergency Situations, there was a threat of fire spreading to nearby wooden houses. The roof also collapsed. The fire is localized on an area of 200 sq. m. Two people were injured.
The fire was eliminated by 23 people with the help of six pieces of equipment. Investigators and employees of the fire testing laboratory of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations are establishing the causes of the fire.
Earlier, on May 28, it was reported that two people were injured as a result of a gas explosion in the Stavropol Territory. A man and a woman were taken to the hospital.
