- The media reported on the refusal of the United States to support lowering the ceiling on oil prices from Of Russia

The United States opposes the proposal of the G7 countries to lower the ceiling on Russian oil prices. This was reported by Bloomberg on June 14, citing sources.
"So far, there are no changes in the position that the United States outlined at the meeting of finance ministers of the G7 countries earlier this year," the agency said in a publication.
It is noted that the G7 member countries planned to reach an agreement on a new ceiling on oil prices at the upcoming summit of the organization in mid-June in Canada. The European Union (EU) and the United Kingdom want to reduce the price per barrel to $45 from today's $60 in order to put pressure on Russia.
It is clarified that the United States has not yet accepted the proposal of other G7 countries. However, the final decision remains with the American President Donald Trump.
On June 9, the Politico newspaper reported that the EU may vote on the 18th package of anti-Russian sanctions in the near future. If the United States confirms at a meeting of the G7 leaders its readiness for a coordinated approach to the issue of sanctions, then a vote on the next package may take place as early as June 20.
