The media showed footage of repelling Israeli attacks on Tehran

Iran's air defense systems are involved in repelling attacks on the country's capital Tehran from Israel. This was reported on June 14 by Al Mayadeen TV channel.
"There is now clear and intense air defense activity against targets in the sky. Now the sounds of explosions are being heard — these are attempts to intercept Israeli missiles and drones over Tehran," the TV channel correspondent said.
The journalist noted that it remains unclear why Iran did not use its air defense forces with the same intensity in the first hours of the Israeli attack. However, he stressed that the state has all the necessary capacities and funds in its arsenal.
It is noted that those in Palestine Square in Tehran express their support for the Revolutionary Guards and the Iranian army. The crowd is also shouting slogans like "Death to America"! and "Death to Israel!"
The published footage shows that rocket attacks on the city are carried out from different directions. As the correspondent points out, this complicates the process of intercepting their air defenses.
On June 13, Israel launched a preemptive strike against Iran and declared a state of emergency. Later, the Islamic Republic launched about 150-200 retaliatory missile strikes. As a result, 63 people were injured, and another 300 Israelis were evacuated.
