Israel made a "big mistake" by attacking Iran. This was announced on June 13 by the head of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, in his address.

"I would like to share with our beloved people that the Zionist regime has made a big mistake, a big mistake, and the consequences of this will make it unhappy," Tasnim news agency quoted him as saying on the Telegram channel.

He also announced his intention to "act by force" and abandon the idea of compromise with Israel.

On the same day, Israel launched a preemptive strike against Iran and declared a state of emergency. In this regard, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that the purpose of the military operation is to strike at Iran's nuclear infrastructure.

Later, Iranian President Masoud Peseshkian stressed that Israel would receive an "appropriate response" for the strikes, which violate international rules. The Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, in his address to the people, said that the Iranian army would use all force to respond to Israeli attacks.
