- The Iranian president informed Putin about the "appropriate response" to the Israeli strikes

Israel will receive an "appropriate response" from Iran due to the strikes that violate international rules. On June 13, Iranian President Masoud Peseshkian announced this in a telephone conversation with Russian leader Vladimir Putin.
"[Israel's] aggression is a clear violation of international rules and will definitely receive an appropriate response," Peseshkian was quoted by Fars in his Telegram channel.
In addition, Peseshkian noted that Iran has never sought to create nuclear weapons and has always been ready to prove this to international organizations.
Earlier it was reported that the Russian leader had a telephone conversation with Peseshkian and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Putin expressed his condolences to the Iranian side in connection with the numerous human casualties caused by the attacks of the Israeli army. In a conversation with Netanyahu, the head of state noted the importance of returning to the negotiation process on the Iranian nuclear program.
On the same day, Israel launched a preemptive strike against Iran and declared a state of emergency. Netanyahu then stressed that the purpose of the military operation was to strike at Iran's nuclear infrastructure and enterprises that produce ballistic missiles.
The Russian Foreign Ministry condemned the Israeli attack and said that the country had violated the UN Charter in this way. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov also said that Russia is concerned and condemns the sharp escalation of tension between Israel and Iran.
