The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) reported a reported rocket attack from Yemen. The agency made a corresponding statement on Friday, June 13, in the Telegram channel.

"The IDF has determined that a missile was launched from Yemen towards Israeli territory, and defense systems are working to intercept the threat," the publication says.

An alert has been issued in several areas of Israel.

Later, the army press service reported that the rocket landed near the city of Hebron in the West Bank of Jordan. Interceptors were not used against her.

On the same day, it was reported that Israel launched a preemptive strike on Iran and declared a state of emergency in the country. Later, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stressed that the military operation was being carried out with the aim of attacking Iran's nuclear infrastructure and factories that produce ballistic missiles.

According to the Fars news agency, at least 78 people were killed and 329 injured as a result of the strikes on residential areas of Tehran. Another 18 people were killed in attacks on the province of East Azerbaijan.

The Russian Foreign Ministry condemned the Israeli attack and pointed out that the country's move violated the UN Charter. In addition, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov also said that the Russian Federation is concerned and condemns the sharp escalation of tension between Israel and Iran.
