The Times and Epochs festival site has opened in every district of Moscow

A large-scale educational and cultural program has been launched in the capital as part of the Times and Epochs festival, which runs from June 11 to 15.
According to the organizers, a festival site dedicated to a specific period in history has been organized in each district. Classes, lectures and workshops are held here daily. The venues are open from 11:00 to 21:00.
The project "Defending the Moscow Sky", dedicated to the defense of the city during the Great Patriotic War, is being implemented on Mitinskaya Street. The real air defense positions have been recreated based on archived data. They will tell you about the battles and the role of communications specialists, meteorologists and balloon operators.
The Soviet Glamour playground has opened in Serebryakov Passage. Here they will tell you what fashion was like in the USSR. This is a space of memories and inspiration, where fashion appears not as an ideology, but as part of personal and family history, the organizers noted.
Visitors to the site "From Ancient Egypt to our days" on Volgogradsky Prospekt will find classes at the school of scribes, senet and mekhen games, and lectures on science. Guests will learn that many things — ink, board games, calendars — were invented 3,000 years ago.
Another playground appeared in the park on Khachaturian Street — "Mahatma Gandhi and Leo Tolstoy: 110 years of correspondence". The guests will be introduced to Indian culture and the European view of the East at the beginning of the 20th century.
"Times and Epochs" is the largest historical festival in the city with large—scale reconstructions of various events. More than 2 thousand reenactors from 12 countries of the world take part in it. This year the festival is held as part of the "Summer in Moscow" project.
