The number of victims in Iran's East Azerbaijan province has increased to 18.

The death toll from the Israeli strike on the Iranian province of East Azerbaijan in Iran has increased to 18 people. This was reported by the Fars news agency on June 13.
"As a result of [Israeli] attacks, 18 people were killed and 35 others were injured," the newspaper's Telegram channel said.
Earlier, the Fars news agency reported that at least 78 people were killed and 329 injured in Israeli strikes on residential areas of Tehran.
Israel launched a preemptive strike on Iran and declared a state of emergency across the country earlier in the day. Later, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that the purpose of Israel's military operation was to attack Iran's nuclear infrastructure, as well as ballistic missile factories. He called the beginning of the operation a success.
