Israel has launched strikes in the area of the Iranian nuclear facility in Fordo. This was reported by the Fars news agency on June 13.

"Two explosions were heard in the Fordo area," the newspaper's Telegram channel says.

They clarified that the nuclear facility is located at a depth of several hundred meters underground.

The Jewish State has attacked at least 60 locations in eight provinces of the Islamic Republic from the air.

Israel launched a preemptive strike on Iran and declared a state of emergency across the country earlier in the day. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that the purpose of the military operation is to attack Iran's nuclear infrastructure, as well as ballistic missile factories. He called the beginning of the operation a success.

According to Fars, at least 78 people were killed and 329 injured in Israeli strikes on residential areas of Tehran. Another 18 people were killed in attacks on the province of East Azerbaijan.

The Russian Foreign Ministry condemned Israel's unprovoked attack and pointed out that the state violated the UN Charter by its move. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov also noted that Russia is concerned and condemns the sharp escalation of tension between Israel and Iran.
