The Indian civil Aviation Regulator has ordered Air India to carry out additional checks on the technical condition of the Boeing 787 aircraft before their departure. This was announced on June 13 by the Indian NDTV channel.

"The Directorate General of Civil Aviation has ordered Air India to conduct additional pre—flight inspections of the technical condition of all Boeing 787-8 and Boeing 787-9 aircraft used by it," a statement on the TV channel's page on the social network X (ex. Twitter).

It is specified that the checks will include monitoring the condition of fuel systems, engines, controls and electronic equipment. According to the TV channel, additional checks should not cause flight delays.

Earlier that day, in Ahmedabad, India, investigators found one of two black boxes at the crash site of the Boeing 787. The second black box in the front of the aircraft has not been found at the moment.

The plane crash in Ahmedabad, India, occurred on June 12. There were 242 passengers on board, including two pilots and 10 flight attendants. A Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner crashed into a dormitory building for doctors. According to NDTV, the cause of the Air India flight crash could be a collision with birds. According to the latest information, 242 people were killed in the crash.
