The leak in the Russian segment of the International Space Station (ISS) has been eliminated. This was announced on June 13 by the press service of the Roscosmos state Corporation.

It is noted that the leak became known for the first time in 2019. During this time, several attempts were made to remove it, but the result was only partial.

"The next stage of sealing the transition chamber of the Zvezda service module has been completed. <...> There is no leak on the Russian segment of the ISS," the state corporation's Telegram channel says.

In November 2024, it was reported that the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) and Roscosmos disagreed about the cause and severity of the leak on the ISS. According to Space News, Russian engineers believe that the cracks are caused by the station's "high cyclic fatigue" from micro-vibrations. NASA believes that several factors play a role.
