- Zakharova called the statements of the former Moldovan ambassador a manifestation of neo-Nazism.

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova called the statements of former Moldovan Ambassador Anatol Ceranu about Russian-speaking Moldovans a manifestation of neo-Nazism. She published the corresponding statement on June 13.
According to Zakharova, on the air of one of the Moldovan TV shows, Ceranu spoke out against Russian-speaking Moldovans, who allegedly "less often demonstrate critical thinking." According to him, this demonstrates the presence of a "low-quality ethnic group" in society.
"The self-exposure of a Nazi who publicly declares on television about the inferiority of a part of society based on ethnicity is also evident on his face. Unfortunately, in modern Moldova, rabid Russophobes and haters of Moldovan identity have literally seized power," the official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs wrote on the Telegram channel.
In addition, Zakharova stressed that such statements are an example of neo—Nazism and segregation in Europe.
Earlier, on June 2, Alexey Petrovich, head of the coordinating council of Russian compatriots in Moldova, as well as the Pobeda National Committee, spoke about the revival of Nazism in the country after the opening of another monument to Romanian soldiers who fought on the side of Nazi Germany. He also stressed that the memorial is a step taken by "modern neo—Nazis and forgers."
