The administration of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is trying to drag the entire Middle East and the world into a catastrophe. This was announced on June 13 by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

"The Netanyahu administration is trying to drag our region and the whole world into a catastrophe with its reckless, aggressive and lawless actions," he wrote on his page on the social network X (ex. Twitter).

The Turkish President stressed that Israel's attack on Iran is a provocation and a violation of international rules.

"The international community must put an end to Israeli banditry aimed at undermining global and regional stability," Erdogan added.

Israel launched a preemptive strike on Iran and declared a state of emergency across the country earlier in the day. At least five people died as a result of the incident. In addition, five more people were killed and 12 injured due to Israeli strikes on the city of Tabriz.

Later, the Turkish Foreign Ministry said that the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) airstrike on Iran was a provocation. The Turkish ministry stressed that the start of the IDF operation at the moment when negotiations on Iran's nuclear program began confirms Netanyahu's unwillingness to resolve the issue diplomatically.
